Annual General Meeting of the Royal Society of Victoria

We invite all members and fellows of the Royal Society of Victoria to attend the Annual General Meeting.

Light refreshments will be provided after the formal meeting so that Members can meet new Councillors, Fellows and discuss ways in which together we can move the Society forward.

1. Welcome and Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners
2. Receipt of Apologies and Proxies
3. Receipt of the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 29 May 2025
4. Receipt of Annual Report of the President of Council and the Financial Statements of the Society for the year ended 31 December 2025
5. Election of Council Members
6. The process for setting the amounts of the annual subscription and joining fee of the Society

a) The formal notice of the meeting, the agenda items, motions and financial report can be viewed here

b) The President's report will be available to view week of 10 August 2026

c) On 23 April 2026, in a Special General Meeting, the Members approved new Rules for the Society that aligned to ACNC recommended practices. This AGM has been delayed from it usual timing in the year while the ACNC validated those Rules and our Annual Report could be prepared under them. The new current rules can be viewed here
