General Information
Event Description
Join the experts on a field trip as we learn about the diverse efforts to revitalise the north bank of the Birrarung/Yarra River and Docklands area ...
Will we even be able to swim in the river??
(Is it even possible to have aswimmable river?)
This event, hosted by Geography Victoria, brings together professionals from academia, industry and government who are each contributing to the transformation underway in this area.
Their projects remind us that there’s no single path to impact, and that real change happens across many sectors and skillsets.
Connect with the people making positive change:
- Billy Patten (Riverlee) will outline the scope of the redevelopment in the North Wharf Seafarer's Precinct
- Skye Haldane (Principal, Strategic Design, City of Melbourne)
- Dr Jacinta Humphrey (University of Melbourne) - Birrarung Trial Floating Wetlands
- Fernanda Farias (Director of Nature and Circular Economy at Regeneration projects)
The fieldtrip starts with a presentation at The Library at the Dock, then we will head out on a walk to see the transformation underway. Finish will be at the
Seafarers Precinct.
Cost: $15.00
9:15 AM - 12:15PM, Monday 22 September 2025
