Melbourne Museum: Treasures of the Viking Age - The Galloway Hoard

Until January 26 Melbourne Museum is unlocking the Galloway Hoard for all to see. Having been buried and preserved in 900 AD the Hoard is a remarkable collection of treasures from Britain, Ireland and Central Asia including jewellery, personal heirlooms and rare, mysterious objects. Through these artefacts, we can glimpse into medieval Scotland and the politics, people and culture of the time.
