A significant and persistent gender gap at all levels of the STEMM workforce, both in Victoria and around the world. It is only now showing signs of change, however there is a lot left to do. In this edition, we feature experiences of women working in STEMM in Victoria, and some of the groups supporting the engagement and retention of women as talented scientists, doctors, and engineers.

Australians are living longer. The whole nation is ageing. But how we age is not just a matter for senior citizens. The latest research shows that making the right lifestyle choices when we are young increases the chances of a healthy old age. And the findings are remarkable consistent. Victoria generates nearly 45% of its electricity from wind, solar and hydro power and appears well on the way to meeting government targets. But, there are still many challenges to overcome.
